You don't have to replace the supercharger you will just have no performence power and bad gas milage, but you will not harm the supercharger. Same thing happen to me, year later I replaced my supercharger belt and supercharger was fine.....dont wait get it fixed dont hurt the GTP!!!!!
It's in your owners manual
To replace the serpentine belt on a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville with a supercharger, first, ensure the engine is off and cool. Locate the serpentine belt routing diagram, usually found near the radiator or on the engine cover, to understand the belt's path. Use a wrench or socket to relieve tension on the belt tensioner, then remove the old belt. Finally, install the new belt following the routing diagram, ensuring it's properly seated on all pulleys before releasing the tensioner.
How do you change the supercharger belt tensioner in 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP?
NO! Do not drive that car w/out the supercharger belt attached!

Yes, I need a diagram of the serpentine belt for a 1997 3.8 liter Bonneville SE without a turbo charger.

how do you replace 1997 alternator belt
i need to see the chart on how the belt gose on my supercharger
It's just like any other multiribbed belt. Replace it when it's dried out and is cracking. Otherwise there is no scheduled maintenance interval.
just need to know where it is located on car
