simply remove the valve cover gasket, take the old one off, clean the area well, and replace the gasket, tighten the cover evenly.(if ur gasket is made of corque take care not to break the gasket
do you mean valve cover gasket? remove the air cleaner. remove the bolts from the valve cover, remove old gasket, clean valve cover with parts cleaner or degreaser (rinse after) put new gasket, retighten screws alternating till snug but not far to tight. make sure you have the correct gasket, alot of places dont stock them and will need to order them.
take it to a pro
Replacing the head gasket on any vehicle is a long and complicated process, however if you wish to see basic step-by-step instructions go to the related question on the right side of the page "How do you replace a head gasket?"
look for a oil cap that you take off on the valve cover.
The engine should have a crankcase breather tube connected between the valve cover and the air cleaner. With the crankcase breather removed and a non-vented cap installed on the valve cover in its place, the PCV would create the vacuum you have.

I'd do it for about $350 - both sides.
This should be covered in most manuals. The valve cover has to come off, then you will vave to remove the rockers and bridges which cover the camshaft. The bridges come off by removing the head bolts. I think the head gasket should be able to be reused if you do not move the cyl. head. You may want to replace the cam bearings while you have the cam out. You may be able to get the sprocket off without removing the water pump and timing cover. If not, you will have to remove the fan shroud, fan, water pump and timing cover. I've only performed this procedure with the engine on the stand.
