I am not sure what the question is but basically, most cars have have two to four cv joints, one or two on each side of the car. The outer cv joint is located near the tire or hub, the other, also known as "the inner, which also has a boot is located near or in the transmission........hope this helped
A CV boot is found on the axle of a vehicle. To replace the outer boot remove the axle bolt and pull the boot off. The inner boot requires removal of the whole axle.
To change the inner CV boot on a 2003 Polaris, first, lift the vehicle and remove the wheel to access the axle. Detach the axle from the differential or transmission by removing the retaining clip or bolt. Slide the old CV boot off, clean the joint, and apply new grease before installing the new boot. Finally, secure the boot with clamps and reassemble the axle, ensuring everything is tight and secure.
I have just fitted both CV boots on a 1994 Peugeot 106. Though I only needed the outer one replacing I had to remove the inner CV joint to slip the boot over the outer CV bell end. As a result I had to replace inner boot and metal sleeve also. Job wasn't too difficult considering I am not a mechanic , only hard bit was removing the circlip on the inner CV joint, if you need further details, email me at ziamirza99@clara.co.uk and I can send you detail & pics of assembly.
To replace the inner CV boot on a 1992 Suzuki Alto, first, lift the vehicle and secure it on jack stands. Remove the wheel and the axle nut, then detach the axle from the transmission. Carefully slide the inner CV joint off the axle, remove the old boot, and clean the joint before applying fresh grease. Finally, install the new boot, secure it with clamps, reassemble the axle, and ensure everything is properly tightened before reinserting the wheel.
I dont think you can change the inner cv boot unless you get one slightly bigger than original and fasten it to outside of inner cv joint but there will be no groove for it to sit in so it may pop off unless you get a jubilee clip on it! Otherwise its a new shaft! I work in a garage and they are a common problem but we just change the shaft, their about 50 quid or about 20 from a scrapyard
remove axle, separate joint inner or outter joint, clean, regrease, and put it back together with a new boot
To replace an inner CV boot on a Nissan Murano, first, safely lift the vehicle and remove the wheel. Finally, secure the boot with clamps, reassemble the axle to the transaxle, and reinstall the wheel.
The size of the CV boot on a Vauxhall Frontera can vary depending on the specific model and year. To replace a Triton inner CV boot, first, safely lift and secure the vehicle, then remove the wheel and brake components to access the CV axle. Detach the axle from the differential, usually requiring removing retaining clips and possibly a specialized tool. Finally, reassemble the axle, ensuring all clips are secure, and reinstall the wheel and brake components.
Lift the vehicle using a jack. Inspect the CV boot for problems. Mark the axle. Separate the CV from the shaft. Remove the CV boot clamps. Use a mallet to knock the CV joint off the shaft. Remove the boot from the CV axle shaft.
Change the entire drive shaft. Chances are, if the boot needs to be replaced, the axle will go out because moisture and dirt has contaminated the CV bearings.
The CV joint is the part inside the boot.
