Locate a small, black button protected by a black cup on the bottom edge of the dashboard, just up and left of the brake pedal. It is not on the floor or under the dash, but right at the edge, in front of the on-board diagnostic computer connection. Put your keys in the ignition, and when you locate the button, press and hold it. turn on the ignition (not start the car) while holding the button for around 20 seconds and . You will hear the locks lock and unlock three times. This should fix your problem.
If you have difficulty locating the button, you're probably looking to hard for it--mine was hanging from a wire at the very edge, not even protected by a black cup.
