A 1996 Honda Accord battery was recently replaced and now whenever the tape-cassette player it turned on it says code how can this be fixed?

This radio has a built in anti-theft system. Anytime power is removed from the unit, it will become non-functional. To restore the system to an operating condition, you will need the code. The code is listed on a two small cards that came with the car. You will need to find this code. Look in owner's manual, and everywhere it might have been hidden. Unfortunately, if you can't find the code, you will have no choice but to remove the radio and write down the Serial # which you will find on the back of the radio. Try using a small mirror to look on the backside of the radio without actually removing it. After you find the serial #, take it to your Honda Dealer and they will be able to supply you with the code. Write this code somewhere for future reference.

The 5 digit radio code can sometimes be found on a small white decal located on the back side of the glove box door. If not, the dealer may be able to supply it if you tell them your VIN. If that doesn't help, remove the radio to look at the label on top of it, and write down the model number and serial number. (For Honda/Acura, the code is available online for less than $5.)
