To remove the AC compressor from a Mazda 3, first, ensure the engine is off and disconnected from the battery. Start by recovering the refrigerant from the AC system using a professional recovery machine, then disconnect the AC lines from the compressor. Next, remove any mounting bolts securing the compressor to the engine bracket and carefully take the compressor out of the engine bay. Be sure to replace any necessary seals and check for leaks when installing the new compressor.

To fix the AC compressor on a 1990 Mazda Miata, first, disconnect the battery and remove any components obstructing access to the compressor. Check for leaks and test the electrical connections; if the compressor is faulty, it may need to be replaced. Remove the old compressor by detaching the refrigerant lines and mounting bolts, then install the new compressor, reconnect the lines, and recharge the AC system with refrigerant. Finally, reconnect the battery and test the AC system for proper operation.

A screeching noise from the AC in a 1995 Mazda Miata could be caused by a worn or loose serpentine belt, which may slip when the AC compressor engages. It could also indicate a failing AC compressor or worn bearings within the compressor itself. Additionally, debris caught in the pulleys or a lack of lubrication may contribute to the screeching sound. Regular maintenance and inspection can help identify and resolve these issues.
To charge the AC in a 1987 Mazda RX-7, first, locate the low-pressure service port, which is typically near the compressor. Connect a refrigerant canister with a gauge to this port, making sure to follow the correct procedure for your refrigerant type (likely R-12 or R-134a with a conversion kit). Start the engine and turn the AC to the maximum setting, then slowly open the canister valve to allow refrigerant to flow into the system while monitoring the pressure gauge. Ensure you do not overcharge, as this can damage the AC system.
First check your fuse for your AC in your fuse box, make sure it is good. Make sure your cooling fan is turning on when you turn on your AC, if not it could be your fan relay. If the AC compressor fan clutch is kicking on and off then it just needs freon. If the AC compressor fan clutch is not turning then it could be completely out of freon due to a leak, or you need a new AC compressor.
i bought a 90.5 belt to bypass my ac compressor. Although I think anything from 89-91 should work also. You just don't want to have the tensioner leaning to far to the right. I have a first generation (1998) Durango SLT. AC Compressor clutch seized up on me.
The 1998 Mazda 626 low pressure port for your air conditioning system will be on the top of the air conditioner compressor. The low pressure port will be on the left-hand side of the compressor.
