If your Daewoo Matiz is turning over but won't start, it could be due to several issues. Common causes include a lack of fuel reaching the engine, a faulty ignition system (like spark plugs or ignition coils), or issues with the battery or starter motor. Additionally, check for any error codes if the check engine light is on, and ensure that the fuel pump is functioning properly. A thorough inspection of these components should help identify the problem.
either the ignition coil is bad or the crank for the camfhsaft position sensor is not touching the sensor i jsut had to do that to my car so check both of those
maybe under the front seats
it was sold all over the world & the car was instant hit all over the world . daewoo matiz helped daewoo motors to reach the top ten car manufactures in Europe for excellent cars. but in the year 99 till 2002 Korean economy went down due to that their was recession all over & due to that the company went bankrupt.
Sounds very much like the distributor
If your Daewoo Matiz is hard to start in cold and rainy conditions, it may be due to moisture affecting electrical components, such as spark plugs, ignition coils, or connectors. Cold temperatures can also thicken engine oil, making it harder for the engine to turn over. Additionally, a weak battery may struggle to provide enough power in colder weather. Checking the ignition system and ensuring the battery is in good condition can help resolve these issues.
On a 1998 daewoo matiz after doing a few jobs on it ,it wouldn't start.so i checked the spark from the dizzy cap no spark while turning the engine over. the reason turned out to be the ignition key.got another one and hey presto starts first time.if your engine is sparking then it could only be the belt timing out.so check the timing or better still get someone else to look at it as you may not see where you went wrong .ged
To fit a Daewoo Matiz CV boot, first, lift the vehicle and remove the wheel to access the CV joint. Then, detach the old boot by cutting it off and clean the joint thoroughly. Apply new grease to the joint, slide the new boot over it, and secure it with clamps at both ends. Finally, reassemble any components and lower the vehicle back to the ground.
Pull off the 3 plugs on top of the exhaust manifold. get a spark plug socket and whip em out. Wacky the new one in carefully making sure not to over tighten them
The intermittent starting issue with your 2002 Daewoo Matiz could be due to either the starter motor or an electrical fault. If the ignition lights come on, it suggests that the battery and ignition system are functioning, but the starter may not be engaging properly. Check for loose or corroded battery connections, as well as the starter relay and fuses. If these components are in good condition, the starter motor itself might be failing and should be tested or replaced.
i have the same problem
jump start it.
IF TURNING OVER BUT NO START TRY CRANK SENSOR There is no spartk.
