I went to autozone.com and looked both up and they are different.
It should be down below where the slave cylinder connects to the tranny
check clutch slave cylinder
on slave cylinder that's bolted to side of transmission and one on clutch damper ,which is bolted on left side of fire wall.
how do you connect the hyraulic master cylinder to the clutch slave cylinder on a 2000 chevy S10 pickup 2.2 4.cylinder
The clutch slave cylinder , for a hydraulic clutch , is inside the manual transmission bellhousing
Checking the slave on any car is fairly easy: There is a bleeder screw for the slave. Losen it and compress clutch. If no presure coming in, then problem is before slave. If there is pressure (fluid) strong flow coming in, but no movement of the slave, than the slave is bad.
look under your truck at your transmission, its bolted on with 2 bolts atthe rubbercover, check for leaks,if it is about 20 bucks.
on the passenger side of the transmission
your clutch may be slipping ,first check and see if your clutch slave cylinder is leaking, check your clutch master cylinder to see if your fluid level is ok.if level is ok and no leaking slave cylinder, then you probaly need a new cluch.
Chect the slave cylinder on the fire wall to see if it is out of brake fluid.
The slave cylinder is actually built onto the throw-out bearing. If you have a problem with it you will have to pull the trans.
If the clutch is hydraulic, yes. If the linkage is mechanical, no.
