To fix a Toyota MR2 2000 hood latch release cable, first, check for any visible damage or fraying along the cable. If it's stuck or not functioning, you may need to access the latch mechanism, which typically involves removing the interior panel near the driver's side. Once exposed, you can either lubricate the latch or replace the cable if it's broken. Reinstall everything securely and test the release mechanism to ensure it's working properly.
To fix the inside trunk latch cable on a 2000 Toyota Echo, first, locate the latch mechanism inside the trunk and inspect the cable for any breaks or disconnections. If the cable is detached, reattach it to the latch mechanism securely. If the cable is damaged, you may need to replace it; remove the old cable by detaching it from the latch and routing a new one in the same path. Finally, test the latch to ensure it operates smoothly before reassembling any trim or panels.

Then, route the new cable through the same path, ensuring it is properly seated in its channels, and reattach it to the latch. Finally, test the release mechanism to ensure it operates smoothly before closing the trunk.
Have you tried putting a screwdriver through the latch hole and pulling down on the screw driver (Imitating the opening movement of the latch) If that doesn't work you will need to remove the latch to release it.

If the hood release of a 2000 BMW Z3 is not functioning, you can try accessing the hood latch directly. Start by removing the plastic cover under the steering wheel to gain access to the release cable. If the cable is intact but stuck, you can attempt to pull it manually with pliers. If that doesn't work, you may need to reach underneath the front of the car to manually disengage the latch with a long tool or wire.
hi please show how do i replace the Toyota seinna 2000 front handle door thanks Andy
I've had this problem with my '99. Try having someone push down on the hood (to reduce pressure on the latch) while you pull the hood release. You can also try pulling hard and fast on the release, but you risk breaking the plastic release handle. The "pull-hard" method was my solution- the handle took more abuse than I expected. If you get the hood open, grease the latch where it contacts the hood and try to run light oil down the cable. Mine was a combination of sticking latch and binding cable.
try looking up from underneth, look for cable running too latch try pulling on it . also have someone pull release inside as someone else pushs down on hood to get it to release
take a long thin screwdriver and stick it into the "hole" where the cable goes into the latch. Pry from right to left, this will pop the hood. I just had it happen to my 2000 Dakota.
