First you will need to get the radio code......i went to a Honda dealership to get mine. turn you radio on and enter the code with your numbered presets. The code will only have the numbers 1-6, it's pretty simple. Keep that code on hand cause you'll have to enter it anytime your battery may go dead.
You insert the 5 digit code by pressing the radio preset buttons.
whats number do i put in to unlock radio is it security code or radio code to unlock radio?
All Acura's have Radio codes. You will need the code if the power has been disconnected from your battery. It is a five digit code that can normally be found either in your drivers manual or on a business card size card that reads Acura Radio Code. If you enter the radio code incorrect three times it will lock you out of the radio and you will have to disconnect the battery to start the process again. Radio Codes are specific to your VIN number, a dealer CAN NOT "create" one for you. If the originating dealer put the code in the American Honda Motor Co system then your local dealer will be able to assist you. Call them with your VIN Number and have proof of ownership ready, some dealers will ask you for it. If your radio code is not in the American Honda system then the ONLY way to get the code is to remove the radio as it is on a sticker on the back of the radio head. This information also applies to Navigation units and all models, years and makes of Acura.a

radio says safe but cant put the code in
Are you talking about the clock on the radio? If that is what you are talking about then turn the radio off and you will see that under the FM button it says "clock" hold that button in and use the "4" button for the hour change and the "5" button for the minute change. Hope this helps. and if it is from disconnecting the battery, you will need to put in the securety code, you can find that in the owner manual, and if not, you can call an acura dealer and give them the vin and serial number of the radio and they can get the code to you
The Mitsubishi Eclipse radio code is the code that makes your radio work. You need to put this code in any time you disconnect the battery.
my 2001 diamante radio wont turn on after i put the code in

I had that problem with my 98 integra and I called the dealer and they asked me if I had have electrical problems and yes, my battery was dead so they told me that I have to take the car to the dealer and they will pull out the radio to get the serial number and put a code in the radio so that it would work again.
Try getting it from radiocodeking.co.uk/renault-radio-codes/ as they give codes for free. After you put your serial code, put this coupon code: freerenaultcode to make it free.
Contact your dealer. Each vehicle identification number has its own radio code. There are no generic codes. Be prepared to prove ownership when trying to get a code. If it is a junk yard radio they may be able to give you the code from the radio serial number. Most dealers make a copy of your drivers license and put it in the information request to the Ford information system.
