Virgil, This is very advanced procedure with so many little things I am only covering the major operations. The transaxel comes out the bottom. It will be necesary to support the motor as you will be removing its support below when the trans is pulled. This usually accomplished with a special tool designed to hang the engine from a hook and transfer its weight to the cowl the right strut tower and the radiator core support It is best to get the car at least 2 feet off the ground so a lift is almost a must. Be careful dont get found caught under a fallen car. You will need to separate the lower control arms from the lower ball joints on the spindles. Remove the nut on the ball joint and then a ball joint fork and a hammer is the best way to separate these. Remove the axles by wiggling them a bit while prying them from behind the inner CV joint with a pry bar or sometimes if you "jerk" a bit on the inner CV they will pop out. Dont pull on the shaft as you can ruin a CV boot. Remove the half shaft for the right side by unbolting it from engine block. Disconnect the shift cables trans lines and wires. Remove the left side cross member by disconnecting the transaxle mounts and removing the crossmember bolts front and back. Some models require the removal of the first exhaust pipe to gain access to the torque converter bolts Remove the toque converter bolts Place a trany jack under the transaxle and unbolt the bell housing bolts. Wiggle the trans loose and gently lower from the car. Good luck, Paul
