To remove the automatic trans-axle from a Mazda 626, first ensure the vehicle is securely lifted and supported. Disconnect the battery and drain the Transmission Fluid. Remove the driveshafts, starter motor, and any electrical connectors. Finally, unbolt the trans-axle from the engine and transmission mounts, then carefully slide it out from the vehicle.

Transmission fluid in this car can be added into the top plug on the driver's side of the transaxle for an automatic. It can also be added in the same place as the dipstick for a manual.

To drain the coolant on a Mazda 626, locate the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator. Remove the plug and drain the coolant into a pan.
The reservoir is located on the master cylinder in a Mazda 626. To add fluid, simply remove the reservoir cap and pour fluid in.
