To remove the driver side left foot rest on an MR2, first, ensure the car is safely parked and the ignition is off. It simply pulls off. There are two square moldings on the foot rest that align to two square posts screwed to the floorboard. Be careful when restoring the footrest, be sure to properly align the posts.
