you need to take off both caliper bolts and remove the caliper from the carriage... most Mazda calipers will not pivot...

They have to be pressed out mechanically. Mitsubishi blew it on this design.
To add brake fluid in a 1990 Mazda Protege, you need to locate the brake fluid reservoir and check the levels. The reservoir is located on the master cylinder for the brakes.
The TNS relay on a 1990 Mazda Roadster is located on the drivers side of the car. It will be right beside the brake.
Purchase front brake pads for a Lincoln Mark VII with ABS. Purchase DOT 3 brake fluid for a Lincoln Mark VII with ABS. Purchase a disc brake piston tool. Park the vehicle. Disconnect the battery. Raise and support the front of the vehicle. Remove the wheels. Remove 1/2 of the brake fluid from the reservoir and disguard. Remove the caliper pins. Raise and support the caliper. Remove the outer brake pad. Return the inner brake pad and piston into the caliper with a disc brake piston tool. Remove the inner pad. Install new brake pads. Fill brake fluid to correct level. Not sure but a 1991 model does, so it stands to reason that a 1990 would.
