Mazda main fuse is bolted in with two M10 bolts. I know because I destroyed mine while trying to remove it. You will need a good socket set with a universal joint to remove it.
remove the two nuts holding down the battery harness inside the fuse/relay center, then you can pull it out.

There are two fans on a Miata. The main fan is triggered by the coolant temperature sensor, which is at the back of the Miata engine, dead center, just above the transmission. The second fan is triggered when AC is turned on.
First, locate the fuse box. Then, once inside the fuse box, locate the 120 amp fuse. Remove it by pulling it straight out. Lastly, place the new one in place of the old one.
Main steps: * Unplug battery neg. terminal * Loosen alternator bolts, lower one (main) and the 2 for the tensioner * Remove the belt * Remove the wires to the alternator * Remove the bolts and take the alternator off * Put the new one, secure with main bolt and tensioner * put belt back and and tension it, tightening bolts * Connect wires back It will take about 1 or 2 hrs.
To change the main 120 amp fuse in a 2000 Mazda Millenia, first ensure the vehicle is off and disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety. Locate the fuse box, typically found near the battery or under the dashboard. Remove the old fuse using a fuse puller or pliers, and replace it with a new 120 amp fuse, ensuring it fits securely. Finally, reconnect the negative battery terminal and check that all electrical systems are functioning properly.
There is no "main fuse" as such. If you need to cut all power, remove the negative battery terminal. You will need a 10 mm wrench.
More than likely a short in the wiring.
The fuse block under the hood needs to be raised. There are four tabs around the perimeter of the block. There are 2 small bolts that hold the fuse in place. Remove the 10mm bolts then simply pull out the fuse and replace it, reinstall the bolts and place the fuse block back in place. There are sliding guides that will align the block.
The CPU for a dome light on a Mazda 626, and most other Mazda vehicles, is located near the main fuse box. This is found under the hood.
There is a third, 10mm bolt on the bottom of the coil pack. It is very difficult to reach without a small ratchet set or a flexhead wrench. When replacing the coil pack, many Miata owners have mounted it with just the two main bolts and skipped replacing the small 10mm bolt at the back without ill effects.
