First you have to disconnect the wiring harness that goes from the chassis to the door. The connector is located under the right side passenger kick panel. The panel snaps in place. Once removed you can find the connector that leads to the door. Some have two connectors on the harness, one large and one small and some just have one large depending on the year. Pop the grommet that holds the harness away from the body and pull the harness out. I removed my door by unbolting the hinges from the door instead of unbolting the hinges from the body. A ratchet wrench makes it easier because of the lack of room. You also have to drive out the stop pin located between the upper and lower hinges. Just drive upward with a small hammer. Have someone help support the end of the door as you remove the bolts, these doors are suprising heavy. Replace in the reverse order. If you are replacing the door with one of a different year the harness connectors may be different on the end that connects under the kick panel. Two connecetors vs. one. If that's the case you have to swap harnesses from the doors. The connectors inside the door under the door panel are the same on both harenesses.
You must remove the transmission, the front differential is built right in.
