I think there is a rubber gromit on the back of the drum, take it off and use a brake ajuster tool to move the shoes in to let the drum free
First, determine if they are disc or drum. If drum, remove the drum and replace the shoes. If they are disc, remove the caliper (and disc if necessary) replace the shoes and reassemble.
Yes, I currently have the 1997 Camry LE. The front breaks are disc and the back are drum.
How do you remove rear brake drum from a 1993 Toyota pickup?
The only part that is needed to replace your 1997 Pontiac rear brakes is a break assembly kit. The brake assembly kit will have everything you need.
Drum Island was created in 1997.
Drum Island ended in 1997.
George W. Drum died in 1997.
This will greatly depend on what kind of brakes you have and which parts you are trying to replace. Do you have disc or drum brakes? If you have disc brakes, do you want to replace the calipers, pads, or rotors? If you have drum brakes, do you want to replace the drum, or the shoes?
Yes, you are correct.
You can not, you need to replace the skin with a new one.
first off are they disk brakes, (like the front one)? or drum brakes?
Just google how to replace disc brakes for a good description with pictures, or drum brakes if you are doing the rears. Disc is very simple job (less than an hour), drum not so much (can take 4 hours the first time you do it).
