you take it to the dealership and have them do it while you sit inside and sip tea, I do it all the time when I'm having my IS350 cleaned

You can replace a headlight on your own. It doesn’t have to be expensive at all. You will need to purchase a new lamp. The cars manual should explain how exactly to replace the headlight but you can always Google for instructions.
To replace the headlight assembly on on 03 Jetta, the grill and front bumper have to be removed before you can get to the screws below the lamp.
Remove cap from back of lamp release pin replace bulb
Open the hood, twist/unscrew the grey colored lamp holder and replace the bulb.
you take out the broken bulb and put in the good one YES BUT HOW DO YOU REPLACE IT???
the glass cover on the headlight is not servicable, they are glued during assembly. you have to replace the entire headlight globe or headlight assembly.
just unplug the lamp, then replace it, or whatever then replug it to the power. then you should test it.
