simply with 8 screws, these screws are found here. 2 behind the ash tray, then two above the dash itself you will find 2 screws directly above the instrument panel. then the rest is held on with clips and you pull gently on the panel to remove it. once the panel is removed you will see 4 screws (2 on each side) then remove wires and etc. and you will find your lights on the back of the instrument panel.
If parking lights stay on after the car is turned off on a 2001 Hyundai Elantra than the brake switch is malfunctioning. The brake switch turns off when pressed in and if it does not work the lights of the vehicle will stay on.

no it does not. I have a 99 elantra. It only has the warning sound for leaving the key in and opening the door. I have forgotten my lights on several times because of it.
first of all do you have any dash lights coming on.(is there power from the battery)
it would be the brake light switch about 20 dollars at autozone
Ask at your local auto parts store. Most of the time they'll have a book to tell you. Or you can go to a site like Sylvania, that will also tell you.
I believe that it is illegal to run fog lights and high beams together, however I could be wrong.
On my 2000 Hyundai Elantra, you can access the license plate lights from the outside. You use a flathead to pop out the right side of the light, twist the back end (where the wire comes out) and the part with the bulb comes out. Pull it out, slide the new bulb in, retwist it into its container and pop the light back in place. Repeat for other side. Cost me $3 for the bulbs and took me about 5 min to do.
Check your fuses. If they are all good and none are blows, you probably have a short somewhere in the electrical lines.
If you are afraid of breaking something take it to a garage.
If your 2011 Hyundai Elantra won't start, first check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness and ensure the battery is charged. If the lights and dashboard indicators are functioning but the engine doesn't crank, the issue may be with the starter or ignition system. If there are no lights at all, it could indicate a dead battery or a blown fuse. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, consider contacting a mechanic for further diagnosis.
To find and replace burned out Christmas lights, start by unplugging the strand and visually inspecting each bulb for darkened or broken filaments. Use a light tester or replacement bulbs to identify and replace the faulty ones. Plug the strand back in to ensure all lights are working before hanging them up again.
