The replacement is a complicated process, so i would recommend you purchase a factory repair manual (Haynes are ok, but miss things sometimes). Do know, however, that this may be a temporary fix to a bigger problem, in that something caused the switch to go bad. These Kias are notorious for this problem, and it generally ends up being (not limited to) either a fan motor, blower motor resistor, or a fan relay that is going bad and causing resistance to heat up the circuit and damage the switch. Unless you have electrical experience, you should not try to tackle this problem and take the car to a COMPETENT repair shop experienced in electronic diagnostics (NOTE that I did NOT say dealer, sometimes they are no help at all.)
