Changing a bumper cover on a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe typically takes about 1 to 2 hours, depending on the experience of the person performing the task and whether any additional components need to be removed. The process involves removing screws, clips, and possibly disconnecting electrical components if applicable. Having the right tools and a clear workspace can help speed up the process.

These jeeps have a metal plate, and then a rubber bumper cover is bolted onto the plate. There are two bolts on either side of the bumper cover (on the inside of the bumper cover). Taking the cover off requires a ratchet. Taking the plate off requires a bit more work, as there are more bolts to contend with, as well as the skid plate, etc.
To replace the rear bumper on a 2008 Honda Element, start by removing the screws and clips securing the bumper cover to the vehicle, typically located along the top edge and in the wheel wells. Carefully detach the bumper cover from the vehicle by pulling it away, taking care not to damage any wiring for lights. Next, if the impact bar or brackets need replacing, unbolt them before installing the new bumper. Finally, reverse the process by securing the new bumper cover in place with screws and clips.

Easiest way is to jack up one of the front wheels and remove the pop clips in the wheel well cover, and then remove the 2 screws in the bottom of the bumper, and gently pull away the wheel well cover so you can get to the bulb. There is no way to change the bulb from under the hood, you change the turn signal bulb that way also. That's the directions for both sides.

Yes I am looking into doing it on mine also. The headlights are a little different they have grooves on the bottom that incorporate into the bumper and the grill is different. You might also have to get the bumper plastic reinforcement piece behind the actual bumper cover. It will line up though to the original holes as long as you get those other parts. Good Luck!
