To replace the fuel sending unit on a 2001 Honda Passport, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal and relieve the fuel system pressure. Then, remove the fuel tank by disconnecting the fuel lines, electrical connectors, and support straps. Once the tank is lowered, access the sending unit by removing the retaining ring on top of the fuel tank. Replace the old sending unit with the new one, reassemble everything in reverse order, and reconnect the battery.
