A friend of mine has an MX3 and I cleaned them with a product called CrystaLenz this stuff really did a great job on his MX3. You can get more info at their website crystalenz.com
Alternatively, you can buff the headlight covers with any metal polish you may have (silver, brass, aluminum, etc) for a few minutes. Make sure to wipe any excess off of the paint with a damp cloth, as these polishes are mildly abrasive, and will remove paint if you are not carefull.
