To clear the ECU memory bank on a 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder, you can disconnect the negative battery terminal and leave it off for about 10-15 minutes. This will reset the ECU and clear any stored trouble codes. After reconnecting the battery, you may need to drive the car for a short distance to allow the ECU to relearn the optimal settings. Always make sure to take precautions when working with the vehicle's electrical system.

In the MR2 MK2, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) is typically located behind the passenger side dashboard. To access it, you'll need to remove the lower kick panel and possibly the upper dash panel. The ECU is housed in a metal casing, making it a bit challenging to reach, but it's essential for managing the engine's performance and diagnostics.
You have a hydraulic clutch in your mr2, no cable.

You can reset the check engine light by disconnecting the battery of 20 seconds. This does work but you will need to take the vehicle to your local delear to have the ECU memory bank cleared. if the codes still appear after a memory clear it will then indicate a fault.
