The drivers side window switch is the master switch which means all the power goes thru it first, before it continues to the passenger side. I would remove the master switch and using a 12V circuit tester, I would see if current is passing thru the switch and also it may simply be a loose connection at this master switch.I hope this helps you. I had a similar problem with a Toyota Corolla. Could be worth a shot There may be a window lock button (usually near the drivers electric window controls). That causes the controls from all, except the driver's, to be unresponsive.
Check to see if your are getting powr and ground to motor - if so motor is bad and needs replacing If not try to find problem--could be switch or wiring to same
Replace the switch ! It is really not that expensive and it will fix the problem !! If it works from the drivers door replace the switch on the door that doesn't work ! If it works at that door replace the drivers switch ! KM
I had this problem so I took the panel off that holds the sprayer and blew compressed air in them and it was clogged. Have not had this problem since.
I have the same problem with my 95 olds 98 regency, did you find anything out?
go thru passenger side and open drivers door; remove inside of door panel. You will see wire rod unhooked next to left side. rehook rood and outside should wook. If this is not the problem then the outside door handle has broken and must be replaced by taking two nuts/bolts (don't remember now) from inside, unhook rod, and replace handle.
Check to see if you are getting power to the motor - if so bad motor If not may be an open wire in the door jamb area
Our car had this problem. Answer was a new A/C computer needed.
no doubt you checked the fuse panel on the drivers side, now check the one on the passenger side which says horn.. had same problem
had the same problem on a 2003. it was a bare wire.
If your drivers side window operates properly it is not a fuse problem. Both windows work off of the same fuse. You most likely have a window motor or regulator problem. I would start by pulling off the door panel and rehook up the switch and see if you have any movement. If not check for power. If you have power it is the motor!
bad switch, bad motor, bad ground?
