If the smoke is white, then there is coolant getting into the cylinder. Blue smoke is from burning oil, and black smoke is from an improper fuel air mix (stopped up air filter or choke stuck stuck.)
It could, depending on the cause of the misfire.
you betcha it will
Oil !
Could be several things. Typically, oil burning is blue smoke, and water/antifreeze is white smoke. With a combination of fast oil leak *and* white smoke, my guess would be to check the Cylinder Head Gasket or a cracked Cylinder Head.
Blue smoke means it's burning oil. Black smoke means it's burning rich (fuel). White smoke is usually caused by water which may indicate a blown head gasket or a cracked cylinder head. Check the compression on your cylinders. If compression is low, you will have to remove the cylinder head to replace either the blown gasket or the cylinder head.
Could be a bad head gasket. You would get engine oil leaking into the cylinder heads and that would show as smoke out the tail pipe.
Engine coolant leaking into cylinder. Possible bad head gasket.
no! if your seeing white smoke its a leaking cylinder head gasket. which is a major repair. see a certified auto tech to perform this repair.
engine coolant getting into an engine cylinder from a bad head gasket , cracked or warped head
A bad thermostat typically wouldn't cause white smoke. White smoke usually indicates a coolant or water leak which could be caused by a variety of other issues such as a blown head gasket, cracked cylinder head, or a damaged engine block. It's best to have a professional mechanic diagnose the issue accurately.
Cylinder
"white smoke" is steam, which means coolant is getting into cylinders. usually means cylinder head gasket or cylinder head is faulty
