This happen to me before. First Check if your Power Steering works, this easy to tell you should have a hard time turning the steering wheel. If so Check under your hood you should notice that there is no belt on the power steering pully. Both your power steering and AC compreser are connected on the same belt. If so you shouldn't worry about you don't need to put the belt on right away. This should cause no problems unless you live in Arizona where you need to have an AC to drive around in the summer. Worse cause is that you would have trouble parking you car in the parking lot and getting a good work out on your arm muscles.
