The side marker lights coming on when pressing the brake pedal in a 1990 Toyota Camry is likely due to a wiring issue, such as a short circuit or a grounding problem. This could be caused by frayed wires or poor connections in the brake light circuit that inadvertently trigger the marker lights. Additionally, a faulty brake light switch or a malfunctioning relay could contribute to this unusual behavior. It's advisable to inspect the wiring and connections for any damage or miswiring.
Turn signal lights that double as parking (marker lights) when not blinking.
Because the lights were turned on manually instead of letting the automatic headlight illumination circuitry do its own thing. Turn the switch to "OFF" - it's part of the turn indicator arm.

On a 2008 Toyota Tacoma, the positive wire for the side marker lights is typically the brown wire. However, wire colors can sometimes vary, so it's advisable to verify with a multimeter or wiring diagram specific to your vehicle. Always ensure the vehicle is turned off and disconnected from the battery before working on electrical components.
The 1995 Pontiac Grand Am has reflectors on the sides that may look like side marker lights, but they are only reflectors. The tail lights and front parking lights are so positioned that they can be viewed from the sides, so separate side marker lights are unnecessary.
What about them?
how do change the front marker lights on my 08 kia spectra can't get at them from under the hood
This is a continuation of the question. The head lights turn on, but all 4 of the marker lights and the dash lights don't come on. I have to keep turning the light switch on and off until they eventually come on. Once I have dash lights and marker lights they stay on normally until I shut the car off, then I have to start all over again. All fuses in the fuse box are good and not loose. What could be causing the problem? Sorry for not putting these details in the original question.
No
Cab lights. Wrong.... Marker lights
