It depends what kind of sensor and how it is wired.
Usually the "sensor ground" refers to the ground source at the sensor's plug. Usually that leads back to the ECM. Sometimes it's the threads where the sensor screws into the vehicle.
If a wire brakes or corrosion builds up between parts the resistance can change, thus why measurements are taken from sensor ground.
What_is_the_difference_between_proxy_switch_sensor
no difference. both are located underneath the car by the tranny.
I would say that they are one and the same.
same thing
Difference between wireless network and wireless sensor network?
One monitors pressure and the other monitors temperature.
A limit switch turns on or off when the object being sensed reaches a specific location.A proximity sensor returns an analog signal indicating how far the object is from the sensor.
photoelectric sensor-sense both metal & non-metal proximity sensor -sense metal only
the o2 sensor is on the passenger side, in between the chassis and the body, just after the cat...careful replacing that. have the required lubricant, ask your dealer, because it needs to be air tight.
Analogue sensors are usualy more accurate :P
If the diagnostic readout indicates a high signal from the chassis acceleration sensor, the likely component to replace is the chassis acceleration sensor itself. This sensor detects changes in acceleration and is critical for various vehicle stability systems. Additionally, it's important to inspect the wiring and connectors for any damage or corrosion, as these can also cause erroneous readings. After replacing the sensor, clear any diagnostic trouble codes and retest the system to ensure proper functionality.
