The Accord changed from a belt to chain in 2003. The Civic changed from belt to chain in 2006. Prior to that they all had belts.
No both the V6 and four cylinder motors of the 2007+ Nissan Altima have timing chains.
2003 on the 4 cylinder.
Yes, except they are belts and not chains and except for Justy because it is a 3 cylinder inline engine.
Four-Cylinder has chains, V6 has belts.
Timing chains are designed to last the life of the engine.
The K series motors have timing chains.
You do not need to change a timing chain as a general maintenance item, unlike a timing belt. Generally timing chains are only changed on very high-mileage motors if they are being rebuilt or refreshed. In most cases by the time the engine is due for a timing chain change, it could use a rebuild anyway. B. Some cars have timing belts. Timing belts and chains need to be replaced at the first sign of damage. If the chains are not replaced, the engine will come to a grinding halt and suffer severe damage.
The 3.0 liter Duratec V6 engine in a Ford Escape has ( 1 timing CHAIN to each cylinder head , so there are 2 timing CHAINS )
Yes. The 4cyl had timing chains
Both the four cylinder and the 6 cylinder have timing chains - 09 Nissan Altima
The 4 cylinder Saturn's all had timing chains.
Not likely. Most timing chains never wear out, and on most engines you do not have to touch the chain to remove the cylinder head.
