The Isuzu has a sealed transmission. It has a transmission fill plug on the side of the transmission above the pan, I believe on the right side of the trans case about midway the case body. Take the pan off remove and change filter. Add fluid by using an inexpensive pump until the fluid starts to run out the fill plug hole. Replace the plug. Job done.

How do you know if the transmission fluid is low on a 2002 Isuzu Trooper or if the transmission is going out When starting off the vehicle is jumping?

when accelerating, if the transmission seems to "jump" or "slip" and is fine after that, it's probably low on fluid. while the trooper is on and in park, pull out the transmission dipstick to read the fluid level. wherwe is the dip stick 2002 Isuzu trooper, thank you the 2002 trooper has no tranny dipstick, you need to check it from under the car. on the tranny pan are two drain plugs. one to drain, one to fill. you need to pump the fluid into the fill plug hole. this is best done at a shop that has a pump . fill it up until the fluid runs out the fill hole. quickly replace the plug. do this on a level surface.

Where do you fill the transmission fluid on an Isuzu Trooper 1998?

1992 - 2002 Isuzu Troopers have the GM 4L30E transmission. There is no dipstick. There is no fill tube. The only way to add fluid or check the fluid level of the transmission is through the fill plug in the transmission pan. The transmission fill plug is situated above the fluid level of the "sump" area of the pan. Add fluid by pumping it into the fill plug and let any excess drain out. You'll know it's topped off when the fluid stops pouring out.

How do you change transmission fuild on 2002 Isuzu trooper?

To change the transmission fluid, jack up your SUV to have enough room to get under the vehicle comfortably and safely. Find the transmission and have a drain pan under it. Remove the drain plug and allow fluid to drain. Remove all of the bolts and lower the transmission pan. Remove the transmission filter and replace if needed.

Where is the transmission dipstick of an Isuzu Axiom located?

I heard someone comment that it has a "sealed" transmission, therefore, a dealer has to add fluid. I own a 2002 Isuzu axiom. they don't have a dipstick but they do have a holding tank on the right side you check and add fluid there.

How do you change the transmission fluid in a 2002 Isuzu Axiom?

To change the transmission fluid in a 2002 Isuzu Axiom, start by warming up the vehicle to thin the fluid, then turn it off and let it sit for a few minutes. Next, locate the transmission pan, remove the bolts, and drain the old fluid into a pan. Replace the transmission filter if applicable, clean the pan, and reattach it with a new gasket. Finally, refill the transmission with the appropriate type and amount of new fluid through the dipstick tube, checking the level as you go.
