next to the upper radiator hose its a plastic Phillips head type screw, look in your owners manual it will tell you about it.
where is the pvc valve on a 1998 suaru forester?
no air bleed valve. all you need to do is to remove the radiator cap and let the car idle for a few minutes.
The 2003 Subaru Outback PCV valve is located on the air cleaner housing. The PCV valve will be on the back of the housing.
You may have a bad valve, did you replace the rotor and cap? Check the cap for cracks.
The cost to replace valve cover gaskets on a 2001 Subaru Legacy is about $600. If the work is done at home the cost is only $100 to $200.
Do you still need some assistance?
it is screwed in to the intake maifold on the air box side of the engine
i have a 97 legacy 2ltr twin turbo and the air control valve on that is to the front of the inlet manifold in the very centre with a vaccum pipe going on to the top of it. the part from my local subaru dealer is 312 euro. hope this helps
Ok here is what is happening with my 1996 subaru legacy outback 2.5. When I apply vacuum to the back pressure transduser on the intake port side I loose vacuum quickly on the side to the egr solinoid valve. What I am wondering is the tranducer supposed to drop vacuum or does it maintain vacuum?
Held down by two screws right on top of the Throttle Body.

Intake manifold on the passenger side. Right behind the ps pump. Has two rubber hoses attached / one routes to the throttle body the other routes to the hoses under the intake manifold.
