You turn it counter clockwise to loosen.
To remove the crank pulley bolt on a 2002 Accent 1.6 DOHC engine, turn it counter-clockwise. It is a right-hand thread, so apply force in the opposite direction of normal turning. Use a breaker bar or impact wrench for better leverage.
which direction does a crank shaft pully bolt screw out on a 2002 honda accord lx 2.3l eng. clockwise or counterclockwise?
if you start engine and look under hood you will see what direction the engine runs by looking at the fan and pulley wheels
Because it's supposed to. Some turn clockwise, some counter clockwise. Why? You would have to ask the design engineer but I suspect it has to do with patent rights. A Buick and an Olds. engine could be the same design and if the distributor turns in a different direction, it can be claimed as a different design.
It depends on the manufacture of the engine.
counterclockwise
As you face the engine, you need to turn the nut in a counter-clockwise direction.
Yes, a counterclockwise engine can be rotated in a clockwise position, but this may affect its performance and functionality. If the engine is designed specifically for counterclockwise rotation, changing its direction could lead to mechanical issues, such as misalignment or increased wear on components. Additionally, the engine may not operate efficiently or at all if the rotation direction is not compatible with its design.
