To make the engine run richer
Hyundai have added a trick to starting the engine - you need to have the clutch pedal in regardless of whether or not the car is in gear. Unless the clutch is in, the engine won't fire.
does it start without the choke? if it does you are probably flooding the engine with the choke readjust it
your crank angle sensor playing up.
Just start and drive the vehicle the way you normally drive it, most ECU equipped cars learn you habits and adjust accordingly...
Standard is full choke first, then half-choke for a couple of minutes, then run.
Carb.? Choke not working properly? Fuel injected? Injectors leaking and loosing prime?
If the choke not work properly then your car wont start in cold weather or morning times. The other reason might be the fuel section is dirty and need some service.
If vehicle has a carb. (not fuel injected) a normal condition. When you step on the gas pedal the automatic choke is forced to close allowing a richer fuel mixture so the vehicle will start .
it depends because if it's a kick start you turn your choke then kick the start and if you got a pull start the you turn the choke and pull it a few times. :P
To adjust the clutch in a Hyundai Excel, start by locating the clutch cable near the firewall. You can adjust the cable tension by turning the adjusting nut on the cable; turning it clockwise increases tension, while counterclockwise decreases it. Ensure there is about 1-2 inches of free play at the pedal before it engages. After adjusting, test the clutch by pressing the pedal to ensure smooth engagement and disengagement.
Using a Windows OS, Start->All Programs->Microsoft Office-> Powerpoint or Excel
Yes it has a choke, it's automatic so you don't need to do anything with it to start the engine.
