Actually on my 2003 Hyundai sonata gls i had the same problem...there is a manufactuer alarm that should set off when u put the key in and turn.. do that one more time(BUT makng sure alrm goes off then do it again) then don't take the key out turn offthen set it in the acc. position in the ignition after the alarm goes off then wait about 5 to 10 min and turn on by then it should have reprogramed and kick on..the third time is when you should be waiting for the programming to be down...its very very important that you do the programming on the third time...because the computers are built in the car and not built like most other American made cars....

First, you need tools:1. Flat blade screwdriver or butter knife2. Phillips screwdriver (#2)Second, you leave key out of ignition and everything OFFThen, you take the screwdriver or butter knife and carefully pry away the plastic ring that surrounds the radio and heater/AC controls. There are 6 (six) clips under the ring, two on each side and one on top and another on the bottom. Once you have the ring off, you can see that there are 8 (eight) screws holding the radio and heater/AC controls in place. You have to remove all of them in order to take out the radio.Once you have all 8 (eight) screws removed you can carefully pull both the radio and heater/AC controls out. On the back of the radio are three connections, the one on your left is removed by squeezing the top and bottom of the connector and slowly pulling on the connector until it comes out. The next connector is smaller and is removed in the same manner. The last connector is for the radio antenna and comes out by pulling it.Now you have the radio out and removed!!You can then install a new radio if you have all the adapters and wiring harness adapters and wiring diagrams. ... or you can put the radio back in.I pulled my radio out to add a Sirius Satellite Radio to the factory system.

I assume you meant he CD player is showing error 4. If this is correct your CD player has an mechanical malfunction. Owners manual may say something about this.Actually you have two choices. You can go to the dealer and they will tell you (as they told me) that you must replace the entire unit ($750). There are a number of postings offering various solutions including removal of fuse #25 for several minutes then replacing it, and this somewhat longer one:My CD on my RX is a bog standard but it gives me these errors from time to time, had a few the last month or so when the car is cold, may be the discs are too cold or when the car warms quickly there may be condensation on the disc which will give a read error.The first few times I had a real problem ejecting the discs until I came upon a simple solution.Turn the unit offThen turn off the engine so that no lights are on on the dashPush down and hold the power button on the CD player, whilst holding it down, turn the key to power up the unit.Remove your finger from the power button, you may need to press again to switch it on. You can use your keyboard instead of a mouse. This is done by a number of keys. The tab key - this will move from link to link on a web page. The ALT key - A example being on a web page, up at the top above the address bar, you will see File, Edit, View etc. Under each of these headings, one letter has a underline underneath it. File is F, Edit is E etc. The alt key, allows you to use which ever key is underlined to access the other drop down menu's. Each of these will also have a letter underlined, to access other options. The arrow keys will allow you to do pretty much the same thing. Control with a letter. example, instead of right clicking and copy, do Control C. Instead of right click, and paste. Do control V Instead of going to file, print, do control P. Instead of right click and cut, do control X. There are a number of different keys which can be used with the control key.
