If your Subaru Impreza runs lumpy after installing new spark plugs, it could be due to a few reasons. First, the new plugs may not be properly gapped, leading to inconsistent firing. Additionally, if the ignition coils or wires are worn, they may not be delivering adequate spark to the new plugs. Lastly, there may be an underlying issue such as a vacuum leak or fuel delivery problem that has become more noticeable after the maintenance.

Don't even bother if you don't have at least 100,000 mile on the plugs. If you do unsnap the wires you must get new ones, don't try to run the old. the plugs are expensive and the wires more so. The price for a 2010 WRX Impreza will vary depending on the condition and the extras. However, on average, the price will run between $20,000 and $25,000.
if you used the reccomended plugs, than this is something i have never heard of!! what i would do is check the coils for spark, and go from there.
Have you changed the fuel filter?
Cheap ones run for $2. Premium Bosch plugs run for about $6 a piece.
The subaru impreza turbo should be run on high octane fuel such as optimax/Super Unleaded with no less than 97RON, Tesco actually have 99RON which is about the best we have in the UK. The Impreza turbo was designed to run on 100RON so as near to 100 the better. Although this fuel is recommended i do know many people who run their Impreza turbos on normal Unleaded and they notice very little difference, However those who have tuned their engines should use high RON Fuel as performance can be dramatically effected on Impreza running 300BHP+. If it is a non-turbo Impreza you should just use normal unleaded, Although you may notice a slight difference in performance using High RON fuel. Overall High RON fuel is better for your engine regardless of which car you have. Hope this Helps Cheers DAN
lumpy ? that's a new expression i have not heard ! i suppose you mean running rough ? When was the last tune up done ? When was the last time the timing belt was changed ? tune ups and timing belt makes up 90% of the auto problems by neglecting to do them. A bad battery will cause rough performance along with an alternater. Hope this helps .
i had a similar issue with my ej20t my standard boost solonoid was stuffed plus i replaced with new plugs ngk iridium and possible fuel cut maybe needed hope this helps Put a subaru thermostat in it. Aftermarket ones will give this problem. Makes them run to hot!
