To reset the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) light on a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse, you typically need to use a diagnostic scanner that can read SRS codes. First, ensure that the vehicle's ignition is off, then connect the scanner to the OBD-II port. After retrieving any stored codes, clear them to reset the light. If you don't have a scanner, you may also disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes, but this may not always resolve the issue if there are underlying problems with the system.
