Honda only sells the ignition cylinder lock as a complete assembly which includes: the wiring, lock, security sensor...etc. Therefore the new key that operates the new cylinder must be programmed to let the computer know to shut the security system off. If your vehicle starts for a few seconds then stalls, this is quite possible what needs done. You may get away with putting the old key next to the ignition cylinder and retry the starting procedure. I do not know if the interference of the new key will allow the computer to recognise the older key. Good Luck
I think the Honda Pilot will start its 3rd generation for 2014 or 2015.
To disable the seatbelt chime on a Honda Pilot, start the vehicle and ensure the driver's seatbelt is unbuckled. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine, then buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt three times within 10 seconds. After that, turn the ignition off. When you start the vehicle again, the seatbelt chime should be disabled.
To turn off the maintenance light in a Honda Pilot, start by turning the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine. Press the gas pedal three times within five seconds. Then, turn the ignition off. When you restart the vehicle, the maintenance light should be reset.
To reset the oil sensor on a Honda Pilot, first, turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Press the gas pedal three times within five seconds. After doing this, turn off the ignition, then start the engine to check if the oil light has turned off. If it remains on, you may need to check the oil level or consult a mechanic for further diagnostics.
but will second time start.
check ignition
You can sell your Honda Pilot for about $22,000 if its in really good shape. If it is a fairly used car, I would try to go for about $10,000 for a start.
Pull the Ignition cylinder out of switch. Start with a srew driver.
ignition coil! mine did the same
Give it to the repairer
after replacing the stearing colum what would cause it not to start. You may have disconnected the ignition switch.
if the battery is dead the switch wont unlock or start
