im not entirly sure but i think it could be possible after years of planting trees and plants, monitoring there growth and useing normal soil from earth to fix CO2 levels in the air creating oxygen and possibly a thicker atmosphere until habitable but it would need a lot of dirt, water, hard work, and determination
For one thing they make oxygen. and you can eat them as well not to mention the psychological benefits that the sight of greenery may have on the people working in the alien environment of space.
not that we know of --- Some people are saying that there are tiny plants. Many described it as it was very small and is in black color but i don't think there can be plants on Mars
No, Mars does not have trees or plants. The environment on Mars is not conducive to supporting plant life as we know it on Earth due to its thin atmosphere, extreme temperatures, and lack of liquid water on the surface.
Well, a greehouse would be needed to regulate the temperature, soil from earth would most likely be needed, and a form of radiation sheilding to protect the plants from solar radiation. It would be expensive and not really worth it. Look up the Mars One project; their goal is to establish a human settlement on mars, and they intend to grow plants there. As to whether this is possible, I am unsure.
Pre-packaged and dehydrated food would be the most practical option for a Mars mission, as it is lightweight and has a longer shelf life. Vacuum-sealed or freeze-dried food items would also be suitable for preserving freshness and nutrients during the long journey and on the planet. Additionally, growing fresh food through hydroponics or other controlled agricultural methods could be explored to provide variety and nutritional balance for the crew.
No. The soil on Mars lacks the organic nutrients necessary to grow plants.
Not yet...
no
no
yes you can its a proven fact
Quite simply, No.
we can make an airtight city in which we can grow plants
Maybe if explorers set up an artificial environment and created a means to grow plants in a colony setting.
could we grow plants on other planets? Answers please.
Plants cannot grow on Mars because the planet lacks the necessary atmosphere, water, and suitable temperature to support plant life. The high levels of radiation, low air pressure, and lack of organic nutrients in the soil also make it challenging for plants to survive on Mars.
You could proably just bring it from earth, but you cant grow a plant in it, because they're is no atmophere on mars (Oxegen)
Mars has sunlight, carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and water ice that could potentially be used to support plant growth. However, the thin atmosphere and low temperatures on Mars present challenges for plant survival and growth. Additional resources like nutrients and protection from radiation would need to be provided in a controlled environment for plants to thrive on Mars.
