The earth rotates on its axis giving us day and night, it takes 24 hours for it to

complete a full rotation. While rotating on its axis, the earth revolves around the

sun giving us the seasons, this takes 3651/4 days for a complete revolution.

When the Northern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun and the Southern

Hemisphere is tilted away from the sun, it is summer in the northern hemisphere

and winter in the southern one.

What happens because of a planet's revolution?

In astronomical terms, revolution refers to a revolving around an axis outside the object, in this case the solar orbit of a planet - the completion of one period of which is called the planet's year. (Mostly because of axial tilt this also brings about the seasons.) By contrast, the rotation about an axis going through the object (spin) brings about the planet's day.

Explain what happens when a beam of light passes through a gold solution?

A part of this light is absorbed.

What effect does the earth revolution have?

The revolution around its axis (the one that goes through the North and south poles) causes day and night. The revolution around the Sun in its orbit (coupled to the fact that the axis of rotation is tilted 23.4°) causes seasons (winter, summer, spring, fall)

How does your topic Pablo Picasso a revolution in art relate to this years NHD theme?

The topic this year is Reform, React, Revolution. Picasso's revolution of art was cubism. You should explain the things he went through to make that and the people thathelped him.

What is a rotation of symmetry?

Sometimes called rotation symmetry, or symmetry of rotation. If you have an object that can be turned through a certain angle (like rotating a cube through 90o) and then it looks identical, then that object has a certain symmetry under rotation. If you can turn it through any angle, like a cylinder, then it has rotation (or rotational) symmetry.

Explain What happens when a beam of light passes through a colloidal solution and why?

When a beam of light passes through a colloidal solution it scatters because of tyndall effect.

What a example of rotation?

A rotation turns a shape through an angle at a fixed point as for example if you turn around backwards that will be a rotation of 180 degrees.

Does big dipper move through the night sky?

Yes because stars move so they would move through the night sky!!!! If you were to watch a constellation, it would appear to move through the sky but really the Earth's rotation and revolution about the Sun gives the appearance of the stars moving.

What is the math term for a rotation?

A rotation turns a shape through an angle at a fixed point and it is called a transformation.

As electrons pass through a particular device magnets begin to rotate. This rotation is then used to power devices such as ceiling fans. This is a description of what happens in a(n) .?
