The Biblical answer would be that God created the 'something' out of nothing. This is referred to as creation ex nihilo and refers to the creation of all that exists by the one and only almighty God, in the beginning.
Nehemiah 9:6 (King James Version): 6Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
Acts 14:15 (King James Version):15And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
The Bible also describes God as the sovereign Lord. In other words He is completely self-sufficient and self-directed and so had no need in Himself to make the world or anything else. He made the world, the 'something' because He wanted to.
But the question is "Why is there anything at all?" That implies "Why was there God in the first place?"
Actually it is a silly question (to a human being). As an analogy, imagine a goldfish in a bowl, swimming around and around in circles, and the bowl is on a train going from New York to LA. The bowl is in a closed box. Ask the fish, "where are you going?" He says, "Around my bowl." You say, "That is true, but you're swimming all the way to Los Angeles too."
"Why is there a God?", is a question beyond our knowledge and our understanding. The fish cannot envisage being out of the water in its bowl. We cannot envisage anything out of the time or space of this Universe.
It will fall. Wht makes a balloon rise is if what it's filled with is lighter than what's around it. But if the balloon is on the moon, what's around it is basically vacuum - nothing. And any gas is always something, and something is heavier than nothing.
The exact origin of everything is still a topic of debate among scientists and philosophers. The most widely accepted scientific theory is the Big Bang, which suggests that the universe expanded from a singular point around 13.8 billion years ago. However, the question of why there is something rather than nothing remains a profound mystery.
Why is it advantageous for astronauts to live on a space station rather than in a space shuttle

Materials that are dark and absorb light rather than reflecting it tend to be poor reflectors. Rough, matte surfaces also tend to reflect light in many directions rather than clearly reflecting it back, making them less effective as reflectors. Materials that are transparent or translucent also tend to be poor reflectors because light tends to pass through them rather than being reflected.
Leibniz asked the question "Why is there something rather than nothing?" because he was curious about the existence of the universe and sought to understand the fundamental reasons behind its existence.
There is something rather than nothing because the state of nothing is UNSTABLE. But that gives the state of nothing a property - instability. You might argue that absolutely nothing has no time dimension and therefore stability is irrelevant. Time has to pass if there is a change of state. Without time, there cannot be change and therefore instability is impossible.
How do you know there are things rather than nothing? That's the answer.
If something exists and nothing doesn't exist then nothing is never better than something. Nothing does not exist so it can't be better than something. Answer Or...if you have something but it's terrible or miserable then...nothing CAN be better than something. :-)
...Something More Than Nothing was created in 1998.
There is no concrete evidence that supports the claim that nothing exists. The absence of evidence for the existence of something does not prove that nothing exists. The concept of nothingness is often philosophical and abstract, rather than something that can be proven empirically.
Because If u have nothing in ur hands than u cant do anything with that opportunity so it is better to have something which is better than nothing.
All positive numbers are more than nothing (zero) but less than something (a bigger number).
There is probably no such thing as 'nothing'. Ask yourself "What is the question to which I would give the answer 'nothing'?" Almost invariably, the answer will be something other than 'nothing'.
nothing else rather than to consider it as a boon.....
This is a difficult . For instance, " There wasn't anything that we could do" rather than "There was nothing that we could do" Nothing smacks of negative thoughts whereas anything suggest s that this had been thought out. Something means to me anyway, that it is important . e.g " I knew that there was something going on" Hope that makes sense.
