The panel involves a motherboard that is connected by pins to the FP connector. The motherboard uses a standard FP connector, therefore, easy to figure out.
You'll need to first remove the door panel, then unplug the connector from the back of the switch panel. If you want to replace the panel, you simply push the entire panel towards the top of the door and it will pop out of the snap retainers. If you have power side view mirrors, you may want to unplug that connector as well as the speaker connector for ease of handling.

From under the dr. side of the dash, look up at the panel. There will be a small rectangular opening. The connector sits in there. If this panel has ever been removed, the connector may not be visible throught the opening. Found out that there is no separate relay. The defogger switch has the timer circuit & relay built into the switch. Also, when there is a problem with the rear window not defrosting, check the electrical connector behind the rear driver side trim panel next to the rear window. You may need to remove the hanger hook screw to remove panel. The panel is held in with a plastic insert. I had to slowly pull the panel away from the car body. The (pos or hot) wire from the window grid goes to a connector behind the panel. Found the connector had overheated, and therefore had a bad connection. Had to replace connector.
