To engage the power take-off (PTO) on a 2010 JOHN DEERe tractor, typically you would push in the PTO switch or lever located on the dashboard or control panel. Make sure the PTO is properly connected to the implement before engaging it to prevent any damage. Always refer to the operator's manual for specific instructions related to your tractor model.
YES
There's several different manufacturers of PTO systems out there. In simple terms, you engage the clutch, engage the PTO, release the clutch, then use the corresponding lever to raise or lower the dump body.
The manual pto is the switch used to engage the mower deck.
pto switch energizes a vacuum solenoid which puts pressure on the pto belts

You have to engage the PTO clutch slowly because the snowblower has a lot of inertia to it, especially a two-stage blower. Get your RPMs up before you try to engage. Also, make sure that your snowblower will actually turn by hand before you hook it up. It might be jammed with ice or debris or it might need lubricated.
Because you have probably hit the engage lever with your left heel getting on or off of the tractor.
PTO is short for Power takeoff. It is to control a shaft comming out of a vehicle to power things like a snow blower attached to the front, or to control things on the back of a tractor... I never heard of a PTO on a lawn mower... It must be a pretty big lawn Mower. PTO on a riding mower will be an electric engaged clutch used to power a belt drive or other attachments. Oh yes, your right.. perhaps it may be the pull handle to engage it also.
If you have experience operating a Class 8 truck, you should have the driving part down. If not, I would suggest you go to a truck driving school - you're not going to learn how by simply reading about it. As for the PTO controls, it depends on which PTO system you have. Normally, you push in the clutch, engage the main PTO control, let off the clutch, and use the secondary PTO control to raise and lower the dump body. Some systems differ, however.
As engine rpm increases so does pto speeed And if you tach your motor to an excessive amount of RPMs while the PTO is engaged, it will destroy that PTO, leading to zero PTO RPMs.
