I have a 2001 Ford Expedition too and I had that same problem. I took it to the mechanic (not a dealer) and the first time they just said they had to clean it. Afterwards, we ended up changing the brakes because it made the same sound after the 1st service.
It is still under warranty. Dealer's problem.
at a auto parts store or your dealer
From the Ford Dealer
I had the same problem on my 2001 expedition and took it back to the dealer and there is an ampilifer mounted in the side wall near the subwoofer and it was bad, not how to get to it, hope this help.
Cadillacs and the northstar engine are notorious for squeaky belts. if i were you i would not do it yourself. take it to a dealer mechanic.

I had the same problem with my 2003 Explorer. We took it to the dealer to have it evaluated, and they fixed the problem with some lubrication on the locking mechanisms inside the doors. The mechanic told me that the problem is VERY common on both Explorers and Expeditions.
I have the same problem and I had to go to a dealer preferably dodge dealer to get it fixed. Popular problem on caravans!
The only way to do that is to take your expedition to your Ford dealer to get your computer flashed.Usually costs between 60 and 150 dollars, but don't quote me on that.
Take it to a dealer
Salvage yard or dealer.
