take a screwdriver and carefully pry out and clean out old glue and dirt with thinner or reducer and buy new one from dealer, remove adhesive backing paper and push in hole ,just like a sticker book.
I am trying to change the belt on a 2.2 L, 96 Pontiac Sunfire. There is no adjustment on the alt. or power steering that I can see and I cant see how the tensioners work. Anyone have any ideas.
To change the thermostat on a sunfire, look for the largest hose going into the water pump.Should be to the left as you look down at your fan. There should be a clamp holding the hose on. Remove the hose and look in the hole that the hose was pulled out of. It will be seated right there. If you need a pic. I have a manual and I can email it to anyone . My email is: jaybird@supercity.ca
My wifes old Cavelier (which is basically the same car) it was located in the trunk .... left rear end.
I haven't towed with a Sunfire, but would suspect that it might slow going. I'd keep an eye on the temp. gauge. According to Edmunds, the towing capacity of an 05 Sunfire is 1000 lbs. I'd certainly try to stay well under that ceiling. FriPilot
I'm guessing that you're looking for an owner's manual? You could try your local GM dealership, or you could snoop around on Ebay. There is also a Yahoo group for Sunfires. (http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/pontiacsunfires/) You could join it and ask the members what you need to know, or ask if anyone has a manual that they would part with. If you're looking for a shop manual, go to your local auto parts store and ask for a Haynes or Chilton manual. FriPilot
If you are talking about the rear upper roof light, just pop out the lens with a small screw driver, which will expose the bulb. Remove the small steel reflector and pull the bulb out of the socket. Does anyone know how to replace the front upper console light bulbs? There is one screw in the front, but removing it does not let the assembly drop.
I have the same problem with a 1994 Pontiac transport. So if anyone has an answer please help us.
I found mine on the side of the road when I put her in the ditch... Anyone know how to wire it all back it with out haveing problems?
ok. im in the same mess. since we have gs 400,s it a whole different story than the 300. well don't get shocked but this is a tuff fix, dealer charges somewhere around 800 dollars. i know that the manifold has to come off its in the back bottom part by the transmission, oh and you will need to replace two manifold gaskets and one plenum gasket. advice, don't let just anyone do it.
