Have to drop transmission oil pan
1988-1991 Honda civic dx,si,standard civic, crx dx,hf,si any Honda auto trans 1988-1991 will fit it
Fluid is inside the transmission.
Any 88-91 Honda Civic.
there is not a dipstick on a manual transmission
In the 1991 Honda Civic 4dr model. the dipstick for the transmission can be found on the passenger side of the vehicles engine compartment roughly in the center. it will be hard to see at first glance and not the easiest to get at from experience, as it is beneath airtake hoses and wiring.
Yeah, it will fit. But the 1991 civic sohc 1.5 transmission is cable and the 1992-1995 transmission is hydraulic. So yeah it will fit no it will not work with out doing other work. Also The speed sensor is cable in the 1991 and the 1992-1995 is electronic,.....so more work.
Use only genuine Honda ATF-Z1 transmission fluid. Do not use any other fluid no matter what anyone tells you is a substitute. There is no substitute for this fluid and the use of any other fluid will cause your Honda transmission to not shift properly. If you have a manual transmission, contact a Honda dealer for the correct lube or read your owners manual.
