the vehicle speed sensor is on the tranny it hooks onto your speedometer. the engine speed sensor is on the front of the engine, two different sensors guys.
there is none. the speed sensor is in the tranny
it is located near where the engine is connected to the tranny but on the back side of the tranny near the bottom it looks exactly like the coil plug in
the yolk on the back of your tranny is probably loose or your speed sensor is bad. take the speed sensor out and see if you can turn the wheel with a screwdriver or punch. if you can move it tighten the nut that holds the tranny yolk on
If you are refering to the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) it is on tranny by where the axles are

No it will not blow your engine or tranny up it has nothing to do with either of them. The thing to look for is if a speed sensor is out.
