There are after market mirrors for some cars available, you would have to check a parts supplier to find out. Depending on how pretty or precise you wanted it, you can always cut a piece of thin mirror and glue it in place.
The motor itself is not replaceable. You have to replace the whole mirror assembly.
You probally wont have to replace the whole mirror assembly but just the glass mirror part itself
yes. You can replace just the glass or the whole assembly.
If you're talking about the whole assembly, then you have to remove the inner door panel - there are nuts that hold it on (studs are on the mirror assembly). If you're just talking about the mirror head, then you have to take off the mirror glass - there's a clip that holds the head onto the arm.
If the glass is broken, They make a replacement glass you can by at NAPA it glues in. If the plastic mirror assembly is broken, Then go to junk yard or GM dealer and by a new one. Replace whole assembly.
$22.00 to29.00 thanks
If you want to replace the whole assembly, you will need to remove the door panel first and then remove the triangular cover that will allow you to access the screws that hold the side mirror. If you want to replace the glass only, you can pop out the mirror by inserting a screwdriver behind the plastic frame that holds the mirror at the bottom and lift it until the bottom part of the frame snaps out. You can then slide the frame downwards. Installation is the opposite
You will need to replace the whole mirror. Just buy a replacement at auto zone and installe.
Take two hands and firmly twist the whole head of the mirror assembly in towards the triangular mirror. This will expose two screws/bolts hidden on the mirror base. You will also need to open the interior door panel so that you can successfully disconnect any wires, if it is a power window.
You can't really replace it. You may be able to replace a broken lens if you're careful but if your problem is with the driver's side and its a manual mirror you're going to half to buy a whole new unit and get it painted to match your car. I've had to do this twice on my 96 with manual mirrors. The control guide wires attach to a plasic addembly inside the mirror. They eventually break loose from the back of the assembly making it useless. It's not repairable either because there is no access to the bolts that hold the mechanism to the mirror body unless the mirror is has the cables broken in which case it's a moot point. If you mean replace the whole assembly that's much easier. Remove the small screw near the center of the triangular piece of plastic inside the door opposite the mirror. Pop the plastic off and you'll find two bolts. remove those bolts and the mirror just falls off.
Just the bulb or the whole assembly? mike
You start by taking off the cover and insulation on the inside of the truck directly inside the mirror. It snaps on so gently pry it off with a screwdriver. Inside you will see four nuts that need to be unscrewed. Gently loosen them, to the left, and tap the mirror gently and the whole assembly will pop off. If you just want to remove the mirror you have to gently pry it off using a screwdriver.
