It depends on the model and the specification of what you have. A car filled with diesel that is supposed to have regular unleaded is not going to run at all.
need to replace them with new ones
Diesel engines have a much higher compression ratio than gasoline engines. Therefore, you need to drain all the gas you can out of you tank and fill it with diesel.
You need to prime a diesel.... Try to fill the filter with fuel if possible... There should also be a prime pump somewhere on the fuel system to get the fuel to the engine.
First post. What you need to do is fill the fuel pump up with diesel and then start it. that avoids these stupid vauxhalls to get airlock. however, now you got to fill the fuel pump with diesel and then tow it and then bump start it. that will allow the vehicle to unair-lock. hope that helps unpickedexpert@blueyonder.co.UK
If the diesel fuel "gels" then yes the filter will need replaced.
Diesel engines have a much higher compression ratio than gasoline engines. Therefore, you need to drain all the fuel you can out of your tank and fill it with diesel. Gas in a diesel engine will go boom, and destroy your engine.
The fuel tank capacity of a typical Greyhound bus is around 200 to 300 gallons, depending on the model. To fill it up, you would need to purchase this amount of diesel fuel, which can vary in price based on location and market conditions. If you're looking for a cost estimate, multiplying the tank capacity by the current price of diesel fuel will give you an approximate total cost to fill the bus.
If there is very little diesel fuel in the tank, you can fill the rest of the tank with gasoline to dilute it, and then just burn it off during your driving. If you have a lot of diesel in the tank, try to siphon off as much of the diesel as possible, then, again fill it with gasoline and burn it off during your drives.
If you filled it with more than a couple of gallons, you will need to drain the fuel tank and fill it up with unleaded fuel. It will not hurt the engine to run it with the little diesel left in the tank. You may also have the drain all the fuel lines to get it started. I would also replace the fuel filter.
There is more than likely no damage at all. Drain the fuel tank, and fuel lines. Fill the tank with gasoline and start the engine. You may need to use a starter fluid to get it started. Once the diesel is purged from the injectors it will run fine.
you can buy a fuel tank puncture kit. you need to drain the fuel tank so it can be completely dried. everything u need to fix the leak is in this kit. the kit costs about $10,but is well worth it, and if you follow instructions on the packet it works. i fixed leak in f350 diesel tank with same kit about 3 years ago and have not had a problem since
The fuel consumption for a Mercedes-Benz C-Class diesel typically ranges from about 4 to 6 liters per 100 kilometers, depending on the specific model and driving conditions. To calculate the fuel rate per kilometer, you can use the average consumption; for example, if the car consumes 5 liters per 100 km, that translates to 0.05 liters per km. Given diesel prices can vary, you would need to multiply this by the current diesel price to determine the cost per kilometer.
