Probably your alternater on its way out.
cv joint
it has the wrong fluid in the transmission
Faulty wheel bearings usually squeak or squeal. A whining noise is more likely to come from a power steering pump low on fluid, or from a faulty alternator.
Normally a whining noise in the back end means the differential is shot
check transmission fluid level . then check differential oil level also that model ford needed additive in diff oil to stop noise was a ford recall on that
this is normal and nothing to worry about. Almost all vehicles make a whining noise in reverse Ford Mondeo's sound the same reversing as they do going forwards no whining also VW Passatt i think the Golf's are the same also maybe modern technology has improved this. probably bad enough listening to your wife whining you can do without your car doing it.
First thing that comes to mind is the power steering pump. Ford is famous for whining power steering pumps. The noise should be present whenever the truck is running, but more pronounced when dry steering or increase in rpm.
Driving up a very steep hill?
What kind of howling? Or is it a whining? Where does it sound like it's coming from.

A whining noise in the drivetrain of your Ford Aspire could be due to several reasons, including worn or damaged bearings in the transmission or differential, low transmission fluid levels, or a failing water pump. It's also possible that the noise is coming from the power steering pump or alternator. To diagnose the issue accurately, it's best to have a qualified mechanic inspect the vehicle, as ignoring the sound could lead to more significant problems.
